distractions, for the entire year?
Here are some resources for you if you want to embrace this challenge, or level up your KB game:
Follow in Cutter’s footsteps - Get ‘THE GIANT’ here.
Get a whole year’s worth of sequential, progressive kettlebell workouts here with Kettlebell W.O.D.
Level up your KB game with either ‘THE GIANT X’ here, or Kettlebell MAXIMORUM here.
If you recently grabbed and started a program from me - please, follow that program all the way through until you complete it. Then, send me your results.
We’re halfway through January and I hope the New Year is surpassing your expectations so far.
But if it’s not, here’s an idea for you:
What if you just picked one thing - one kettlebell program - and followed that, without distractions, for the entire year?
For example, I got this email from Cutter about his results from “focusing on one thing”.
So check out Cutter’s main points:
[1] He committed to the challenge of staying focused
[2] He ran ‘THE GIANT’ for a year-and-a-half, and started at 2x50lbs KBs for 20 sets of 5 in 30 minutes
[3] He finished with a pair of 85lbs dumbbells for 13 sets of 8 in 30 minutes. (Some leg drive included - a.k.a. - Push Presses - which is perfectly acceptable.) WOW!
Here were his results, in his own words:
[1] “In that time, my upper back and traps exploded, and my arms and chest filled out my t shirts in ways they never had before.”
[2] “After years of going to the gym, I finally looked like I lifted.”
[3] “These results came despite the interrupted sleep, poor nutrition, and stress that comes with serving in the military.”
Now I’m not saying you have to do ‘THE GIANT’ like Cutter did.
Although, success leaves clues, so it wouldn’t be the worst idea you ever had if you did.
The point here is that if you want different results in 2024 than 2023 - or even better results than 2023…
Maybe even results like Cutter’s, which are some of the best I’ve seen to date, you’d be best served by picking one goal and going after it until you achieve it.
Yes, it will take focus.
Yes, it will take discipline.
Yes, it will take “saying ‘No’” to some things.
And yes, it will go against “societal norms” and some people, maybe even loved ones, just won’t understand.
However, if you decide to do things differently this year, or even “level up” your KB game, this time next year you’ll look back with pride on your achievements like Cutter has.
And maybe you too, even with less than optimal circumstances, will have the deep satisfaction of saying -
“...my upper back and traps exploded, and my arms and chest filled out my t shirts in ways they never had before.”
And…
“After years of going to the gym, I finally looked like I lifted.”
The beautiful thing about life is that the choice is yours to make.
Carpe diem - Seize the day, my friend.
Stay Strong,
Geoff
