Which is BETTER for Conditioning – Swing? Snatch? Or Clean and Press?
For the Swing, use SWING HARD!.
For the Clean + Press, use THE GIANT.
For the Snatch, use The King-Sized Killer.
Which is better for conditioning: the Kettlebell Swing, Snatch, or Clean + Press?
The answer? It depends. (I know, shocking.)
But choosing the right kettlebell exercise for conditioning isn't as simple as picking the one that makes you breathe the hardest.
It depends on your training experience, your current abilities, the kettlebell weights you have available, and how much time you can dedicate to training.
In this video, I break down all three exercises, explain what each one brings to the table, and help you figure out which one deserves a place in your training right now.
*Here's what we'll cover:*
*The Swing:* Why it's the foundation of kettlebell ballistics and an excellent tool for building general conditioning.
*The Clean + Press:* How combining an explosive movement with an overhead strength exercise can build conditioning, muscle, and strength.
*The Snatch:* Why it's my personal choice when I want to boost my conditioning and how it challenges your body differently.
*General Conditioning (GPP):* What it actually means and why kettlebell training is such an effective tool for developing it.
*How to choose:* Why your weakest exercise might be the one you need to work on most.
I'll also share some practical training benchmarks, including 10 sets of 10 Swings, Clean + Press goals with 24 kg kettlebells, and the SFG 5-Minute Snatch Test.
Remember, the best conditioning exercise isn't necessarily the one you're already good at.
Find what you need to improve, train it consistently, and build a stronger, more capable body.
Stay Strong,
Geoff Neupert.
